Good afternoon Frisco Band Parents,
We hope this email finds you well! First, we are so proud of your students for their performance on Tuesday at the FISD Showcase. They learned A LOT of material in a short amount of time, and did a great job of performing with energy in front of the crowd. Thanks to all of those who were there to support us from the stands, or as a volunteer in any capacity.
Speaking of volunteers, a special shout-out goes to our amazing Pit Crew- many of these Band parents ‘moved mountains’ over the past week to make all of the wonderful props we saw on the field possible. It really enhances the show, and we received so many compliments from audience members and judges!
In order to continue fielding these beautiful props, we need YOU! We are calling for additional parent hands to help us move our props around on-site this Saturday at our first contest. If you are planning to attend the show as a spectator, please consider meeting the pit crew a little early at our truck, and helping to push the assembled props around to the gate. It’s not very far, everything is on WHEELS, and doesn’t require too much strength! You’ll have plenty of time to get into the bleachers so you can see the show 😊
The current plan would be to meet Mr. Stuart Lodge, Pit Crew captain, at the Band semi at 2:45 pm to move the props around to the staging area… then move into the bleachers prior to the show start. The timing for finals would be similar- meet at the truck 30 minutes prior to our performance time (Performance time TBD- will be communicated via Remind101).
