We are so proud of our members for their auditions, and the preparations that went into them. The upcoming year promises to be a great one! We’d also like to remind everyone that students will re-audition in December, for band placements in the Spring semester. Congratulations again on your hard work, students! Parents and students, if you have not contacted your private lessons teacher about enrolling summer lessons, we strongly urge you to do so. There is no better way to keep up musical progress over the summer months. Teachers can also help students prepare for the marching season and work on their show music! Our next event is Music Camp, coming up in just one week! At this camp students will receive their show music for the 2018 production “CLOCKWORK,” along with several of our stands tunes to play at football games. Students should dress comfortably and wear tennis shoes so that they can move their feet while playing; however, this will be an indoor camp and no extra outdoor gear will be needed. A reminder of the schedule is below:

Tuesday, June 5th, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, 1:00 – 4:00 pm, 6:00 – 8:00 pm (*Family preview performance at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening in the gym!)
Finally, remember that per-registration packets and fees are due this Friday, June 1st (including Charms database update). The labeled envelopes may be returned to students’ band directors, or to the black deposit box in the Frisco Band Hall. We highly encourage all students to include an order for a DCI ticket for the July 23rd show in their materials returned- it’s going to be so exciting!
