Frisco Marching Band recognized in virtual competition
Updated: Dec 21, 2020
In light of the current pandmeic, Frisco ISD marching bands did not compete in live competitive events in the Fall of 2020. The Frisco Band did enter one virtual competition, however, hosted by American Classic Tours and Music Festivals.
The Inaugural Share The Music! Virtual Marching Band Festival invited entries from bands across the country, of all sizes. The Frisco Marching Band competed in the 5A, 'Large Ensemble' division, which included bands with more than 100 members from 5A schools.
We are excited to announce that the Frisco Band was recognized as "Best In Class" in the 5A/Large Ensemble division, and also received the "Standing Ovation" achievement award, the highest of three possible achievement awards.
The video submitted was from our November 14th Frisco Band Family Performance, held at FISD Memorial Stadium at 2:00 pm. The videos can be viewed at the links below- we are so proud of our members for their extraordinary efforts this Fall, to put on their 2020 production, "The Unexpected"!
The students and staff of the Frisco Band would like their the Frisco High School administration and staff, and the Frisco ISD Fine Arts administration for their incredible support throughout such a challenging season. We'd also like to thank our Alumni, friends, and supporters. Finally, thank you so much to our incredible band parents, and all of our volunteers who helped make this season possible!
