Frisco Band- Important Reminders For The Last Days of Summer Camp
Our Band and Color Guard Members have been working really hard this week, and have made some outstanding progress- we are so proud! Please click here for a reminder of the next few days’ schedules; also see highlights below:
We are looking forward to getting started with the Wind Students on their all-region music on Monday (or Tuesday for some), in our all-region masterclasses! See the schedule for your specific section’s time.
A reminder that students should bring their assigned band cookout items with them to school tomorrow (see link). There will be a table for collections at the front of the band hall (Any homemade hot or cold items may be brought in Tuesday evening at 6:45, directly to the cafeteria).
The full schedule for Tuesday evening’s Family Cookout and Preview Show can be found here!
We will also be covering a few minutes’ worth of important Band Booster Association business. You may review the current bylaws and current standing rules, found at the end of this document- we will be voting to approve these at the meeting.
For those working concessions this season, please make sure you’ve completed your food handler certification- click here. ALL BAND VOLUNTEERS in any capacity (hopefully that’s ALL parents!) must complete the FISD background check- click here.
Please send certificates of completion for both of the above to Nathan George, vpmembership@friscobandboosters.com.
Finally, a HUGE THANK YOU to all families who have generated their emails for the Snap-Raise March-a-thon fundraiser! As of Sunday evening we have already raised over $9,000 towards our goal of at least $20,000 (the system automatically bumped our goal to $15,000, but we need to surpass that!). Students can still enter additional emails to their platform, if they have not quite gotten to 20 addresses. Please visit our page to see our progress, and to use the social share buttons to spread the word: https://www.snap-raise.com/fundraisers/frisco-band-march-a-thon-2019
Thanks for all you do!
Sincerely,
The Frisco Band Staff
