Frisco Band
Weekly Reminders and Details, October 9th - 14th
Frisco Band Family,
Words just cannot express how thankful we are to have such an incredible group of students, and such a supportive group of parents…. But this weekend we must at least try! This past week we took ‘WESTWARD’ on the road, and performed for thousands of people in multiple venues. On Tuesday night the downpour made logistics very challenging at The Star, to say the least, but Mr. Kyle Ulam and his Pit Crew team went WAY beyond the call of duty to ensure that our equipment was where it needed to be, when it needed to be. Special thanks to Donnie Shepherd and Lisa Suplis for helping to wipe down our percussion equipment upon our return Tuesday night! At each performance the Pit Crew had extra help from our amazing chaperones, who stepped up to answer the call and help move equipment on and off of the field for our show. Thank you to Melanie Crosby, Shannon Gallant, and Jill Shepherd for helping to coordinate these wonderful volunteers. Thanks to Mrs. Kasey Porter for capturing our performances on high-quality video. Finally, the students never went hungry while on the road, thanks to our Band Services team and volunteers, led by Brenda Herman, Karen Buckalew, and Karen Zimbelman.
We always worry about pointing out individuals, because inevitably we’ll leave someone out who also gave a tremendous amount of their time and energy- please know that we feel incredibly fortunate to have your support for these great Band students!
