The 2011 Frisco High Marching Band competition season has concluded. This year the band won the following awards:

• Top 5 finish in UIL Area B Preliminary Contest (Frisco High’s first ever qualification for UIL 4A Area Marching Band Finals).

• Top 8 Placement in UIL Area B Finals Contest

• Superior Ratings from all judges at the Region 24 UIL Regional Contest (for the 6th consecutive year)

• Top 5 finish in the Marching Classic on the Lake Marching Contest including Special Caption Awards for Best Color Guard, Best Percussion, and Best Drum Majors

• Superior Ratings from all judges at the Bands of America Regional Contest and a invitation to perform at next year’s Band of America Super Regional Contest in San Antonio

In addition, the Frisco High School Drum Line won the following awards this season:

• 3rd Place in their classification at the prestigious Lone Star Classic including the Best Snare Line Caption award.

• 1st Place in the Lewisville Drum Line Contest including Best Front Ensemble, and Best Bass Line, and Best Snare Line Caption awards.

• 1st Place in the North Texas Drum Line Contest
